No person at ClosingThread reads it. Each customer runs on an isolated, automated system: your portal, documents and intake are kept separate from every other customer’s. Messages your closer@ address forwards are processed by software to suggest updates, and nobody at ClosingThread reads them as part of the service. Your staff decide what becomes part of the file. Whether and how privilege applies is a question for your practice, so talk to your own ethics counsel if you’re unsure.
Only the people authorized on that deal: the staff on the file and the parties they invite. Other ClosingThread customers can’t see it. Other staff at your own company can’t see it unless they’re added to that deal. ClosingThread can’t see it either: our admins see account-level counts and billing, never deal contents. If you need help, support can open a deal only after you grant time-limited access to that specific deal, and every view is recorded in that deal’s audit trail.
Never. It only suggests updates, from forwarded email or from an uploaded addendum, and shows the exact sentence it relied on. A staff member approves, edits or dismisses each one.
No. Internal notes and staff-only tasks never appear on the parties’ side. Parties have read-only access to the deals they’re invited to.
Nowhere. The portal deliberately has no place for wiring instructions, and status emails carry a standing warning never to send funds based on emailed instructions.
Closed deals and their documents are deleted 90 days after closing. Parties get reminders 14 and 3 days beforehand so they can download copies.
Your team cc’s your own closer@yourcompany.com, the way they do today. A one-time auto-forward rule in your mailbox sends a copy to a private intake address for your portal. The portal reads it and suggests an update for your staff. Everyone on the thread only sees your own address.
No. Keep your closer@ mailbox wherever it is today. You add one forwarding rule, and we walk you or your IT person through it.
On the Professional plan, which includes your own domain, you add a few DNS records once at wherever your domain is registered. We give you the exact records to copy, or you can forward them to your IT person. Your website and mailbox aren’t affected.
On the Starter plan, they go out as “Your Company Closing Team” from a closingthread.com address. On Professional, they come from closer@yourcompany.com, and replies go to your staff. On every plan your staff can send status emails manually. Automatic or scheduled sending (the outbox) is a paid add-on.
Starter is $199 a month for up to 8 closings a month, month to month. Professional is $399 a month for up to 20 closings a month, includes your own domain and full white label, and has a 12-month commitment, then month to month. Above 20 a month, contact us for higher-volume pricing. Add-ons are priced separately. Agents start free, then pay $30 a month. See Pricing.
It’s free for 5 deals or 90 days, whichever comes first, and you don’t need a credit card to sign up. After that it’s $30 a month. Refer an agent who signs up and you get a free month, up to 3 free months.
Licensed Florida real estate agents with an active sales associate or broker license tied to a brokerage. We check the license number against Florida’s public license records, require a name match, allow one free account per license and confirm your email. Anything that doesn’t match automatically is reviewed by a person. Title companies don’t qualify.
Give us 30 days’ written notice before your next billing date. Starter and the paid agent plan are month to month. Upgrading from Starter to Professional starts Professional’s 12-month commitment on the upgrade date. Professional’s first 12 months are a commitment and stay payable in full. After that it continues month to month, never another full year, and you can cancel any month with 30 days’ notice. After your account ends, you have 30 days to export your data. Then all customer and deal data is permanently deleted, including backups, and can’t be recovered. We do not keep backups of your data beyond that 30-day period. Full details are in the Terms.
For now, yes. The checklist, key-date rules and license checks are built for Florida closings.
No. It sits alongside your existing software and is the window parties look through.
No. They’re invited by email and sign in with a one-time link. Anyone on several of your deals sees all of them under the same login.
